According to the UN assessments, the Global Human Population on the Planet Earth is projected to surpass 8 billion on Tuesday, November 15 2022. A monumental day in the history of human evolution!
By 2030 the global population is projected to grow by around 8.5 billion and 9.6 billion in 2050, as per United Nations estimations. However, this doesn’t necessarily mean that our population is increasing annually. But it is at its slowest rate since 1950, having fallen to less than one per cent in 2020.
Two Strong Nations
According to the UN assessments, human inhabitants on the Planet Earth are projected to surpass 8 billion on Tuesday, November 15 2022. A monumental day in the history of human evolution!
By 2030 the global population is projected to grow by around 8.5 billion and 9.6 billion in 2050, as per United Nations estimations.
At the end of the 20th century, two Asian countries – China and India, clearly beat the other nations by a big margin with their superior people power. And it will not be a surprise if you hear them carry the baton forward for another few decades but according to UN estimates, it is projected India will overthrow China by a few hundred million in 2023.
Congo, Ethiopia, Egypt, Nigeria, Pakistan, Tanzania, and the Philippines are a few other nations that will contribute to the increased global population by 2050.
The increase in Human Population is caused in part by lowering levels of mortality, as mirrored in grown levels of life expectancy at childbirth. Life expectancy reached 72.7 years in 2019, globally, an upsurge of 10 years since 1980. Further declines in mortality are projected to result in global average longevity of approximately 76.2 years globally in 2050.
Yet this monumental upsurge in Human population is something of a worry to the overall health of the Planet Earth.
