An official release announced that President Droupadi Murmu opened Rashtrapati Nilayam, among the three presidential retreats, to the general public on Wednesday, 22nd March 2023. Formerly, only the gardens surrounding it were open to visitors for a brief window of time once a year, according to a statement released by Rashtrapati Bhavan.
Rashtrapati Bhavan & Rashtrapati Retreats are the property of all Indians, according to President Droupadi Murmu. What to see at Rashtrapati Nilayam, Secunderabad?

The ‘Knowledge Gallery,’ which was originally a stable, is where visitors can learn about the Constitution, the background of Rashtrapati Bhavan and Rashtrapati Nilayam, and the responsibilities of the President of India, according to the announcement.
Visitors can snap pictures with the President’s limousine and the buggy in the courtyard of the Knowledge Gallery. On the grounds of Rashtrapati Nilayam, visitors can also tour the Jai Hind Ramp & Flag Post point in addition to the Nature Walk.
It added that a number of the Nilayam’s gardens, including the Rock Garden, Herbal Garden, Butterfly, and Nakshatra Gardens, will still be accessible to the public and that by scanning the QR codes displayed there, people may learn more about the many fruits, trees, and flowers.

A brief About the Rashtrapati Nilayam building:
The Rashtrapati Nilayam building, which is located in Bolarum, was taken over by the President’s Secretariat from the Nizam of Hyderabad when India attained freedom. The building, which was built in 1860, is situated on 90 acres of land. In addition to a dining room, a cinema theatre, a morning room, a darbar hall, etc., it is a one-story building with 11 bedrooms. At least once a year, the President of India travels to Rashtrapati Nilayam, stays there, and uses this location to do official work.
