In a recent move, the government of Uttarakhand mandated that all pilgrims travelling from other countries or states complete an official registration process. No one would be permitted to travel without registration, according to the statement and the Uttarakhand government has notified each state’s chief secretaries of the same.
According to Chief Secretary SS Sandhu of the Uttarakhand Government, additional new measures have been prepared this time because it is anticipated that this Chardham Yatra will draw more pilgrims than it did last year.
In response to this, Sandhu stated, “The tourist department will publish ads in the newspapers in the native languages of every state so that people are aware of the new yatra guidelines. The government has established this arrangement so that pilgrims can enjoy a pleasant darshan and the crowds at the four Dhams won’t build up and cause a stampede-like situation.
With the previous land subsidence in Joshimath, Uttarakhand, which is also thought to be the final halt before reaching the famous Badrinath Dam, the yatra to Chardham has also been altered.
Char Dham Yatra Registration Guide:
For individuals wishing to travel to Badrinath, Kedarnath, Gangotri, Yamunotri, or Hemkund Sahib in Uttarakhand, a Char Dham registration form is required. Beginning on February 20, 2023, people could register for the Char Dham Yatra. It is quite simple to obtain the facility for obtaining the biometric registration document.
Please note that the registration process for tourists is completely free and for the Chardham & Hemkund Sahib yatra, please have a valid personal ID with you.

2) Using the mobile application of the State Tourism Department
3) On WhatsApp, use this number: +91 8394833833 and to begin the WhatsApp registration process, type “Yatra.”
4) Physically with Yatri Mitra at any of the locations listed below where registration points have been set up.
