in
an
effort
to
increase
tourism
in
Pondicherry.
The
“Beer

promises
unlimited

to
its
customers,
making
it
a
must-try
experience
for
those
who
enjoy
a
cold
beer
on
a
hot
day.

What’s
more
exciting?

This
first
Microbrewery
of
Pondicherry
is
starting
this
concept
on
22nd
April
2023.
So,
the
bus
ride
will
be
a
return
journey
from
Chennai
to
Pondicherry.
All
this
will
come
at
a
cost
of
INR
3000
per
person
which
includes
a
3-course
meal
and
unlimited
craft
beer
for
two
hours
along
with
a
private
tour
of
how
beer
is
made.

There
will
be
40
people
in
one
bus
which
is
an
air-conditioned
Volvo
bus
as
per
the
reports,
the
12-hour
voyage
is
expected
to
be
exciting,
and
pick-up
is
set
for
9
am
from
a
predetermined
location.

According
to
Catamaran
Brewery,
the
bus
will
leave
from

and
take
visitors
to

where
they
will
be
given
a

Where
and
how
I
will
get
the
unimitated
beer?

The
Beer
Bus
concept
may
seem
ideal
but
don’t
confuse
it
with
the
thing
that
you
will
get
a
chance
to
drink
beer
inside
the
bus,
unfortunately,
it
is
illegal.
However,
the
bus
will
stop
in
Pudvai
at
a
location
designated
by
the
government
where
alcohol
consumption
is
permitted
on
the
grounds.

The
founder
of
Catamaran
Brewing
Company,
Prasad
Radhakrishnan,
stated
that
the
concept
for
the
Beer
Bus
came
from
a
customer’s
joking
request
for
a
transportation
service
between
Chennai
to
Pondicherry,
where
beer
is
more
reasonably
priced.

Radhakrishnan
claims
that
the
bus’s
objectives
are
to
give
passengers
traveling
from
Chennai
to
Pondicherry
a
safe,
entertaining,
and
artisan
beer-tasting
experience.
He
added
that
groups
looking
to
have
fun
might
consider
using
this
option
by
us.

Beer Bus

Many
began
expressing
interest
in
the
beer
bus
shortly
after
the
company
posted
promotional
offers
about
it
on
social
media,
and
some
even
believed
they
would
have
unlimited
access
to
alcohol
inside
the
bus.

Prasad
Radhakrishnan
was
taken
aback
by
the
overwhelmingly
positive
response
from
those
who
indicated
a
desire
to
consume
beer
while
riding
the
bus.
He
did,
however,
emphasise
that
the
organisation
would
uphold
“a
zero-tolerance
policy
&
no
alcohol
will
be
given
in
the
bus”
and
that
any
passengers
who
caused
problems
would
be
dropped
off
at
the
closest
bus
stop.

If
you’re
a
beer
lover
travelling
from
Chennai
to
Pondicherry,
the
Beer
Bus
is
definitely
worth
checking
out.
